HSV-2 causes increased nerve cell growth, which allows the virus to then colonize the nervous system and establish a lifelong infection. (1)
When a person discovers that he or she is infected with genital herpes, that person will want to safely, effectively, and naturally reduce symptoms caused by the virus.— Greg Bennett, CBCD
ROCHESTER, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, February 3, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/- “Infected with the herpes virus (HSV-1, or HSV-2)? The CBCD, which conducted two separate post-marketing clinical studies on the natural, antiviral formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR recommends taking either Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR to help the immune system target the latent HSV.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD
Surprisingly, the herpes virus, which usually causes genital herpes (HSV-2), also causes the body to increase growth of nerve cells in the skin and mucous membranes. The virus then uses these new cells, which have receptors vulnerable to the virus, to multiply and spread throughout the nervous system. Dr. Cabrera and colleagues wrote that a particular herpes protein “binds to and increases the function of nerve growth factor (NGF).” (1)
This is important because it shows how the genital herpes virus reaches and “infects free nerve endings (FNE) of sensory neurons and colonizes ganglia of the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS),” (1) where it establishes a latent, lifelong infection. From this position, the virus is able to reactivate whenever the immune system is weakened. For example, “long-term or chronic stress, through too much wear and tear, can ravage the immune system.” (See the American Psychological Association from February 23, 2006) (2) This weakening of the immune system can lead to a reactivation of the herpes virus, and an outbreak. As MedicalDaily.com notes, “Stress is known to be associated with reactivation of latent herpes virus.” (See MedicalDaily.com, from January 21, 2013) (3)
In light of the findings mentioned in the study above, the Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that HSV infected individuals take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. “When a person discovers that he or she is infected with genital herpes, that person will want to safely, effectively, and naturally reduce symptoms caused by the virus.”– Greg Bennett, CBCD. Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR do not prevent genital herpes. However, they were designed to help the immune system target the latent virus, and were shown to be effective in reducing herpes symptoms in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.

The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against the family of herpes viruses, including HSV-1 and HSV-2. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with (HSV-1 or HSV-2)…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (4) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (4)
Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites.
Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinensis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
According to Time.com, “75% to 90% of people who test positive for HSV-2 have never been officially diagnosed with genital herpes; most infected people don’t even know they carry the virus.” (See Time.com, from April 12, 2011) (5) With the numbers of HSV infected individuals in the millions, uninfected individuals may have sex with an infected person and not know it. “People with genital herpes can still infect their sex partners – even if they are taking anti-herpes drugs that prevent herpes outbreaks. Even when they don’t have an active herpes outbreak, people who carry genital herpes viruses are at risk of infecting their sex partners…” (See WebMD, from January 5, 2012) (6)
What treatments are currently available for herpes infections?
“Two types of antiviral treatments against HSV are available: topical and oral. The treatments include penciclovir, acyclovir, famciclovir, and valaciclovir. However, their effectiveness is limited. For instance, a meta-analysis of five placebo-controlled and two dose comparison studies evaluated the effect of aciclovir, famciclovir or valaciclovir on symptoms. The meta-analysis showed that oral antiviral therapy decreases the duration and the associated pain of an outbreak by merely one day.” (4). There are also the natural supplements Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR, which have a formula that was designed to help the immune system target the herpes virus when it is in a latent form.
“We recommend that individuals concerned about infection with the herpes virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2), take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD
